During its regular meeting Tuesday, the Bogalusa City Council unanimously approved a resolution to adopt a strategic development plan for the city created by its Louisiana Development Ready Communities committee with input from the public gathered at Town Hall meetings and through resident and business surveys. Councilman Randy Hodges was absent.

After finishing up the first phase of a plan to foster business development in Canandaigua, a consultant will present his draft recommendations to the City Council’s planning committee on Tuesday. Peter Fairweather, president of the New Paltz-based company, Fairweather Consulting, was hired in May to construct an economic development plan for the city at a cost of about $38,000.
